Yvette Nicole Pierce, was born March 16, 1967, in Fort Worth, Texas. To Yvette, the entire world was a stage. An expressive, optimistic, and uninhibited individual, she was a performer in the theater of life. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Yvette, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Yvette really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so. Her parents were Carlene and Melvin Pierce. Yvette was raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She was possessed with an outgoing personality, a lively imagination and enthusiasm for life that allowed her to be constantly on the go, spending time with friends and traveling. Yvette graduated from Western Hills High School. She earned her Diploma in Medical Assisting, graduating with honors. Yvette never actually encountered a stranger in her dealings with people. She was drawn to individuals and crowds, using her gregarious, adaptable and outgoing personality to captivate those she encountered Yvette was blessed with one daughter, Kourtney Russell. She was also blessed with two grandchildren, Demari and Kyan. At work, as in life, Yvette was a real “people person.” She had a very quirky way of dealing effectively with others, her enthusiasm and energy was often contagious. Her primary occupation was medical assistant. She was employed for John Peter Smith Hospital, Urgent Care. Her favorite pursuits were traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was naturally curious about other parts of the world and loved the real life adventure that came from visiting them. Favorite vacations included places with large bodies of water. She also loved visiting Spain. Yvette passed away on February 13, 2021, at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Yvette fought a valiant battle against colon cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Kourtney; her two grandsons, Demari and Kyan; her siblings, Consuela, Felicia and Melvin Jr.; her sister-cousin, Sonya Brookins and a special cousin, Donna Wooten; her best friends, Jen, Valencia, Katie, a host of other family members and all of her work family/friends at John Peter Smith Urgent Care. Memorial Services will be held on March 16, 2021, at Guardian Funeral Home at 2 PM. Yvette brought joy to all of those around her. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Yvette Pierce lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered by her infectious smile, her quirky sense of humor, her loving personality.
