WEATHERFORD -- Wilma Phillips, 87, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at a local hospital. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday int Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Wilma was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Lufkin to Myrtie and George Maberry. She and her husband, Coy, moved to Fort Worth in 1950, each having a young son. They operated a gas station on W. Berry St. for many years while raising their boys, Bobby and LeRoy. After her husband died, she worked in two local hospital cafeterias and snack bars for about 18 years before retiring at age 70. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was our matriarch and we'll all miss her very much, but we know she's in a better place and not suffering anymore. Survivors: Son, Bobby Russell (Patsy); grandchildren, Greg Russell (Krystal), Tammy Chatwell (Wendy); great-grandchildren, Joshua Chatwell (Hayley), Jamie Whitten (Derreck), and McKenna Russell; great-great-grandchildren, Tatum and Tucker Whitten, Brian and Ally Chatwell; sister, Mary Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews. She loved every one of us!
