Muriel Roder Lee Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Muriel Aletha McLellan Roder Lee of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on May 29, 2022 at the age of 91. She was born December 27, 1930 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Haroldine Searle and Roy McLellan. Muriel grew up in Woodbridge, New Jersey with four brothers: Dana, Lowell, Kelvin, and Denny. Lowell McLellan is the last survivor of their family and he lives in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife Shirley. Muriel graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1948. She married Herb Roder in April 1949 and together they moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1952 where they had three sons: Barry (JoAnn), Brian (Therese), and Bryce (Deniece). Grandchildren are Matthew (Alba), Betsy and Briana. Great-grandchildren are Austin, Alex, Andrew, Avery and Samantha. Herb Roder passed away in 1991. Muriel was blessed to have found love again with Ed Lee of Fort Worth, Texas who she married in September 1997. Muriel and Ed had 20 happy years together before he passed away in 2017. Muriel lived in Fort Worth, Texas for 70 years in which time she made many friends. Muriel worked in banking for a few years, but most enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an active member of the First Jefferson Unitarian Church, where she met Ed Lee. She and Ed enjoyed spending time with friends and both of them loved to read. In her younger years, Muriel and Herb Roder enjoyed ballroom dancing and square dancing with friends. A memorial will be held at 11:00 on Friday June 17, 2022 at First Jefferson Unitarian Church, 1959 Sandy Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
