FORT WORTH -- Margarita Zetina Allen, 77, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Guardian Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a rosary beginning at 7. Margarita was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Mexico City. She was a resident of Fort Worth for 49 years. She was known for the aid and assistance she always gave to new immigrants to this country. Her family was extremely proud of her efforts in this regard. Margarita, "Lita" as she was affectionately called, was preceded in death by her parents, Jorge Zetina and Genoveva Lopez de Zetina; a son, Jorge Hidalgo; and grandson, Ronnie Allen. Survivors: Her loving husband, Odell Allen; sons, Roberto and Gustavo Hidalgo; daughters, Margarita Villarreal and Lucy Hidalgo; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Susana Zetina de Castillo and Lucy Zetina de Cardenas of Mexico; multiple nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
