Ella Maxine Cromer
August 2, 1933 - December 24, 2016
Ella Maxine Dickson Cromer Fort Worth – Ella Maxine Dickson Cromer passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016. Maxine was born August 2, 1933 in Fort Worth to Thomas Chapman Dickson and Thelma Dickey Dickson. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and retired from Chase Bank after 37 years of service. “Mackey” as her family called her, was a “special” person who had a special love for “Peanut” her cockatiel companion of 25 years, any and all animals and all children. They were drawn to her as if by magic. She was a very positive influence on most of her friends, a generous spirit with a gentle way, always supportive with a kind word, a twinkle in her eyes, sometimes a mischievous spirit and a smile with a laugh that all of us will always cherish. Best of all, she was a great listener and never judgmental. You could tell her anything and everything, she could keep a secret. She treated everyone with respect and civility. Family was everything to her. Without a doubt, the way she lived her life, we knew the Lord would call her home one day, to complete the family circle with her parents, her sister and her brother. We know that she is in a much better place. We just were not prepared to let her go this soon. Memorial: 2:00 p.m., January 21st, Guardian Funeral Home, Fort Worth.
