Mr Earl Kier Stone Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

FORT WORTH -- Earl Kier Stone, 96, a proud man, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at a local hospice. Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Edge Park United Methodist Church, 5616 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Earl was born in Castle, Okla., on Nov. 17, 1913, to William and Ethel Stone. He graduated from Blackwell High School. He then moved to Oregon and Idaho with his first wife and resided there until 1965. Then he moved to Texas, where he met and married his wife, Alta. Earl was preceeded in death by his first wife, Mildred Martin Stone; his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Wardie Couch; brothers, Harvey, Paul, Bill and Jim; sisters, Eula Bassett, Iris Ryder and Inez Brown; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Wood and her husband, Jim; and one son, Richard Christiansen. Survivors: His beloved wife of 39 years, Alta Stone; daughters, Patricia Mahns and husband, Garth, and Karen Buker and husband, Norman; son, David Stone and wife, Margo; son-in-law, Raymond Myers; granddaughters, Crystal Moncrief and husband, Tommy, Tracie Smith and husband, David, and Kiera Stone; grandson, Derek Meyer and wife, Tracy; great-grandsons, Alex Orange and wife, Megan, and Larry Moncrief; 12 additional grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and longtime friends, Jerry Guyton, Russell Connor and Jim Yauger.
