Donna Marie Emerson

July 20, 1948 - April 18, 2022

Donna Marie Emerson, age 73, went to be with her Lord on April 18, 2022. Donna was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 20th, 1948. Her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1952 where she lived for the rest of her life. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1970 and her Master’s degree in 1978 in Guidance and Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. Donna was a very dedicated teacher and counselor in public schools for 42 years. She worked for the Fort Worth Independent School District from August 1988 until her retirement in May 2011 at OD Wyatt High School, Eastern Hills High School, and Leonard Middle School. Donna is survived by her daughter, Shelley Marie McCuin and grandchildren Sarina McCuin and Brenden McCuin, son, Kelly McCuin, daughter-in-law Yolett McPhee-McCuin, and 2 granddaughters, Yasmine McCuin and Yuri McCuin, sister and brother-in-law, Ronna and Bryan Peterman, brother and sister-in-law, Buck and Sheila Emerson, 4 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nieces, and 1 great nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Marie Livingston Emerson, father, Lincoln Douglas Emerson, sister, Connie Dee Emerson King, and Brother-in-Law, Larry Eldred King A celebration of life for Donna will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
