Audrea Wasta Davenport

January 29, 1936 - January 24, 2016

BURLESON -- Audrea Wasta Davenport, 79, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, in Crowley. She passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the graveside in Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Memorials: Can be made in memory of Audrea Wasta Davenport to the Alzheimer's Association. Audrea was born to Eugene and LaVena Wasta on Jan. 29, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She had one sister, Coy West. She had three sons, Jimmy Douglas McMackin, Jeffery Dee McMackin and Joel Eugene McMackin. In 1981, she married James Davenport. Audrea and James traveled extensively, visiting 49 states. She loved watching sports with James. Audrea loved going to the beach with her sister, Coy; her three boys, Jim, Jeff and Joel; and her three nieces, Jeanette, Kathy and Terri. Audrea was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church in San Antonio for many years. In her later years, Audrea enjoyed working with Alzheimer's patients. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Crowley Nursing and Rehabilitation and to Mission Hospice. Audrea was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and LaVena; and her stepson, James Davenport Jr. Survivors: Husband, James D. Davenport Sr.; her children, Jimmy McMackin (Tracey), Jeffery McMackin and Joel McMackin (Tracy); stepchildren, Gary Davenport (Lynda), Susan Taggert (Tom), Rhonda Canfield (Mike) and Julie Curtis (Sherry); sister, Coy West; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
